Things to Do in Marrakech with Kids

Camel rides, colour-filled souks, splashy water parks and mountain picnics — Marrakech is a playground for curious kids and their parents.

All ages welcome
Vetted, safe operators
Private transfers with child seats
Flexible timing for nap schedules

Marrakech might not be the first place you think of for a family holiday, but kids love it. The medina is a sensory adventure — colours, sounds, animals, food stalls — and the surrounding mountains and desert offer genuine outdoor thrills that work for ages four and up.

The key is picking the right activities and having private transport so you can move at your family's pace. We help you do exactly that.

Common questions

Is Marrakech safe for kids?

Yes. The medina can be busy and chaotic, but it is safe. Petty theft is the main concern, not violence. With a guide or private driver, families navigate comfortably. Most Moroccans are very welcoming to children.

What age is too young for Marrakech?

There is no minimum. We have helped families with babies and toddlers. Under-fours may find the heat and pace tiring, so we recommend shorter morning activities and pool time in the afternoon.

Can the kids ride camels?

Children from about age four can ride with a parent on the same camel, or solo from about age seven. A handler walks alongside at all times.

Is the food suitable for picky eaters?

Moroccan food is generally mild and flavourful rather than spicy. Couscous, bread, grilled chicken, chips and fresh fruit are widely available. We can recommend restaurants that cater to fussy eaters.
